The Renault Clio

The ever-popular Renault Clio has just had a much needed update - its first facelift since 2005. What a difference four years makes. It was high time the Clio grew up, competing as it must with a new generation of reasonably priced, good looking superminis. And grown up, it has. The 2009 model is a chic little number, its design refreshed both inside and out.

Depending on your driving requirements, there are a number of different engines to choose from and a pleasing array of trims and optional kit. The great thing about the Renault Clio has always been its ability to appeal to such a wide range of drivers, from students and professionals, to grannies and speed freaks, and everywhere in between.

The new model will comfortably seat four people - happily style doesn't mean a compromise where space is concerned. Standard fit front and side airbags safeguard passengers, and if you opt for the Renault Clio Dynamique there'll be cool heads all round with standard fit air conditioning. Elsewhere there's a good amount of storage space, too, the boot being of a pretty good size for such an impressively compact supermini.

The key to the Renault Clio's wide-ranging appeal is its price. Starting at just under £10,000 and peaking at under £15,000, there's a model for most budgets. Three and five-door options add yet more versatility to this comfortable, stylish little car, as does the generous range of colours. For more space with your style, the Clio Sport Tourer is a great choice.

Bucket loads of fun and with a whole heap of that certain French je ne sais quoi; the new Renault Clio has it all. Once you've experienced the latest Clio incarnation first hand, you won't be able to stop yourself from letting everyone know "C'est magnifique!"
